Celcom Lists iPad mini as “Coming Soon”

Update (12Dec2012-1152hrs): It looks like Celcom has removed the iPad mini coming soon listing from its website. We’ll keep you posted on developments. (Thanks tweetybird from the comments)

While Malaysia is getting ready for the iPhone 5 launch on December 14, Celcom pulled a major surprise out of its blue cube when it listed the iPad mini as “coming soon” on its front page.

No other details are made available at the moment but if the Singapore pricing of the iPad mini is any indicator, we expect the device to retail from around RM1,300 for the base 16 GB WiFi model. We also have a feeling the iPad mini will be available from authorized Apple resellers when it is available from Celcom.

For those wondering, there is still not sign of the 4th-gen iPad making an appearance in Malaysia anytime soon.

More updates when we have them.

Thanks @BeruangAli for the Twitter tip.
