If you’re looking for a mid-range dual-sim smart phone, Samsung’s Galaxy S Duos has surfaced on the web and it looks similar with its high end sibling, the Samsung Galaxy S III. The only give away is its larger and rounded home button and smaller phone dimension that houses a 4.0″ display.
Under the hood, it is reported to be powered by a mid-level 1GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage which is expandable via microSD. The 4.0″ display pushes a resolution of 800×480 and the device is juiced up with a 1,500mAh battery. Over at the back it has a 5MP camera and there’s a front facing VGA camera. It is 10.5mm thick and it weighs 120g. Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Overall, the hardware looks rather identical as the HTC Desire V which also supports dual-sim.
No official details yet on availability and pricing but this is one of the better looking dual-sim phones to look out for. We’ll take this over the Galaxy S III knock offs any day. Before this, Samsung has made a couple of high end dual-sim phones which didn’t make it to the Malaysian market. One of it includes a dual sim Samsung Galaxy S II for China market that comes with a 4.52″ Super AMOLED Plus screen, dual-core 1.2GHz processor and a large 1,800mAh battery.
