Maxis to offer bundling plans for new iPad?

UPDATE: Maxis offers the new iPad from as low as RM699 for Maxis One Club Members.

Maxis has started teasing on its front page that the new iPad is coming next Friday on 22nd June 2012, which indicates that they are possibly offering the Apple tablet on their network. Despite not having 4G LTE capabilities, Maxis now offers a faster wireless broadband service with its newly revamped DC-HSPA+ network that supports up to a maximum of 42Mbps.

The new iPad WiFi + Cellular model supports this and should have an edge over others in terms of built-in connectivity (without the use of external MiFi). In terms of plan, Maxis is offering 6GB of monthly data at RM98/month. More details of their DC-HSPA+ broadband plan here.

If you’re been wanting to get an iPad with internet connection bundled in, you might consider holding your purchase until next Friday when the plan is revealed. Hopefully they will be generous in terms of iPad price subsidy.
