Update: For some reason, the video has been removed by the uploader. We’ve found another video that tests the Gorilla Glass screen on the HTC One X but this time it looks for believable. Check out the video right after the jump.
The HTC One X is made out of very tough one-piece polycarbonate and the display uses the latest version of Corning’s ultra-strong curved Gorilla Glass. That is not to say the device is bulletproof but in this video, the strengthened glass appeared to be impenetrable.
We’re a bit skeptic about this because we’ve seen Gorilla Glass fracture to pieces as a result of stress that’s much less abusive that multiple direct hits from a nail. If you’re a HTC One X owner, we don’t recommend you do this to your device to impress your friends.
Wonder if we can get a unit from HTC to test this for ourselves. You know how to get in touch with HTC.
