Samsung has just released the Galaxy mini 2, which is yet another entry level Android smart phone to hit the Malaysian market at RM599. It runs on a 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage which is expandable through microSD. At the front, it has a 3.27″ HVGA TFT display that does 480×320 and over at the back, there’s a 3MP camera. It is powered by a 1,300mAh battery and comes with NFC support built in, something we don’t usually see in this price range. As expected it still runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Compared to the Galaxy Y, the mini 2 is a notch higher with a slightly bigger and higher resolution screen, upgraded camera and increased RAM and storage capacity. It is 11.63mm thick and weighs 105 grams.
