LG has officially revealed the Optimus Vu, a 5″ phone-tablet which also comes with a stylus. The LG Optimus Vu is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of on board storage. At time of announcement, the Optimus Vu runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The quirky 5″ IPS screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio and it supports 1024×768 resolution with a ppi of 256ppi. For imaging, it has a 8MP camera at the rear and a 1.3MP camera at the front. To power it up, it has a 2080mAh battery, which is less than the Galaxy Note’s 2500mAh.
In terms of dimensions, the Optimus Vu is rather slim at only 8.5mm and it weighs 168g. As comparison, the Galaxy Note is 9.7mm thick and weighs 178g. So overall, the Optimus Vu is thinner, lighter, comes with a faster processor but with a much lower rated capacity battery.
