Not sure if many of you know this but HTC first started off as a little known computer manufacturer that then ventured into manufacturing phones for well-known brands like HP and Compaq (remember the the days of the iPAQ?). HTC also manufactured the once very popular Palm Treo 650.
Today, HTC stands proud as a prominent technology brand with an accomplished track record of innovations.
Check out this short video showcasing HTC’s long history in technology. For the older geeks out there, you can certainly relate to the iPAQ, O2 and Dopod devices that were developed and manufactured by HTC. We were fans of the XDA series and the iPAQ really set the standard for PDAs back then. Two of the particularly memorable ones were the hw6515 with is built-in GPS and iPAQ 5555 with its biometric thumb scanner. For the younger geeks who are HTC users, its nice to know the kind of pedigree that comes with the brand.
