Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G bundled on Celcom

UPDATE: Celcom updates Galaxy Tab 8.9 spec to 1.0GHz processor.

Suddenly the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is getting on the bundling bandwagon in Malaysia. Now Celcom is also offering the Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G version from as low as RM1,288.

There are 2 plans on offer, Celcom Broadband Basic with 4GB/month and Celcom Broadband Advanced with 6GB/month which can be subscribed with either 12 or 24 months commitment. For the cheapest bundle price of RM1,288 is tied with 24 months contract of Broadband Advanced at RM98/month.

Those seeking for the least commitment and contract duration, the Tab 8.9 can be yours for RM1,398 with 12 months contact of Broadband Basic. When compared to Celcom’s Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 offer, the price difference is RM180.

If you take a closer look, Celcom has listed the Tab 8.9 to be running on dual-core 1.5GHz. From what we understand, both Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 for this region are running on dual-core 1.0GHz processor. It is either Celcom is offering the US 4G LTE version with 1.5GHz processor or it is another product mistake by Celcom like their Droid RAZR. If you are looking for the WiFi version, it is offered at RM1,679 with Yes Huddle 4G MiFi and credits.
