Sony Ericsson Malaysia quietly releases the Xperia pro

Sony Ericsson Malaysia via its Facebook fan page has announced the availability of the Xperia pro.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia pro brings everything you get in the Xperia arc and Xperia ray and combines it with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Specifically, you get a 3.7-inch Reality Display (854×480 pixel) with Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine image enhancement. In addition, you get an 8MP Exmor R rear camera (similar to the one in the arc and ray) that also shoots 720p videos and a VGA forward-facing camera.

You can expect the Xperia pro to run the latest Android 2.3.4. Powering the device is a 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 with 512MB and 1GB of on board storage.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia pro retails for RM1,399 outright. As an introductory offer, Xperia pro purchased at Sony Ericsson Exclusive Stores and selected dealers will come bundled with a Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard and USB connector worth RM139.00. Not bad.
