RIM offers Free BlackBerry apps for service interruptions

With the recent interruptions faced by BlackBerry users in most parts of the world, RIM is compensating by offering a selection of premium apps worth more than US$100 to its users. This is a sign of good will to all BlackBerry users that have been patient and loyal with them despite the outage.

The apps will be available for download from BlackBerry App World beginning from 19th October for a period of 4 weeks. Among the titles listed are:

  • SIMS 3 – Electronic Arts
  • Bejeweled – Electronic Arts
  • N.O.V.A. – Gameloft
  • Texas Hold’em Poker 2 – Gameloft
  • Bubble Bash 2 – Gameloft
  • Photo Editor Ultimate – Ice Cold Apps
  • DriveSafe.ly Pro – iSpeech.org
  • iSpeech Translator Pro – iSpeech.org
  • Drive Safe.ly Enterprise – iSpeech.org
  • Nobex Radio™ Premium – Nobex
  • Shazam Encore – Shazam
  • Vlingo Plus: Virtual Assistant – Vlingo

The offer is valid for BlackBerry users registered in Malaysia as well though do note that some of the apps are available only to BlackBerry 7 OS. In addition, Enterprise users will get 1 month free technical support.
