HTC is probably the most prolific smartphone manufacturer in the world. Right after its big APAC event announcing the HTC Radar, Rhyme, Sensation XE and Explorer in Singapore yesterday, the Taiwanese tech giant today announced the HTC Sensation XL.

Earlier codenamed Runnymede the HTC Sensation XL brings a single-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor with 768MB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 4.7-inch 800×480 pixel display, HSPA connectivity, an 8MP rear camera with 720p HD video recording and a 1.3MP front camera plus a 1,600mAh battery in addition to Beat Audio technology. The Sensation XL runs Android Gingerbread with Sense 3.5.

Like the Sensation XE, the Sensation XL will come bundled with a set of iBeats headphones (which HTC are calling upbeats) in the box. The headphones are designed to make the most out of the Beats Audio technology integrated in the device. There will also be a “special edition” HTC Sensation XL, which comes with a pair of wireless Beats Solo headphones.

The Sensation XL will start shipping to Asia in early November, no pricing has been revealed at the moment.
