With less than 5 days away till Samsung Unpacked event, Google and Samsung has announced that they will postpone the launch of their upcoming device, the Galaxy Nexus.

They didn’t explain the reasons behind the last minute postponement but had released the following statement:

“Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.”

There are couple of speculations over the move with one of it being Steve Jobs recent passing. Another possibility are issues on either device or software that needs to be ironed out before launch. Despite not giving any new launch dates, we hope the delay is a short one.

If you missed it earlier, the Galaxy Nexus was revealed in video which gives a clear view of the upcoming device and Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
