BlackBerry Torch 9860 Celcom firesale from RM88 this Thursday

UPDATE 2 0106hrs 15092011: As of 0100hrs, The Strand is still deserted. No signs of a queue forming at the moment.

UPDATE: RM88 Blackberry Torch 9860 offer is for lucky 20, not first 20 as mentioned earlier.

There’s also a special promo where Celcom is offering BlackBerry Bold 9900 + Playbook for RM2188. This is limited to the first 100 customers.

Original Post: The BlackBerry Torch 9860 which is coming to Celcom is expected to be sold in a firesale this Thursday, 15th September 2011.

According to Amanz, the Torch 9860 will be offered as low as RM88 for the first lucky 20 and RM688 for the next 180 people in line. Those aiming for the 200 promo units will need to sign up for a 12 months Celcom plan from RM88/month.

The firesale venue is reported to be at Red Carpet, at the Strand, Kota Damansara and its happening at 12PM. Obviously if you want to be in the first 20 in line, you’ve gotta be there much earlier. During the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 firesale, some had queued since the night before.

According to the standard plans, the Torch 9860 which is priced outright at RM1588 is offered from as low as RM588 with 24 months contract on Biz Package 188. For Celcom Exec plans, it is offered as low as RM1088 on Celcom Exec 50 + BlackBerry Pro (5GB) plan.
