Ever wondered how Apple’s logo would look like if it had the same treatment and Google’s Android logo, and vice versa? Well now you don’t have to anymore. Logo designer, Graham Smith, wanted to demonstrate the power of good branding. He took some very iconic brands and logos and swapped them around with their competitors’ logos. He calls it brand reversions.
The study of brand reversal is not just for fun and interesting to look at, it also tells us how important iconography in helping us associate what we see with what we’re familiar with.
