DiGi offers Sony Ericsson W8 Android Walkman bundle. New Smart Plan 88?

DiGi is offering a DiGiMusic package which offers a Walkman smart phone together with free music. The Sony Ericsson W8 is a music oriented Android device which retails at RM799. At first look, it does look like a “music” rebranded Xperia X8 with its 3.0″ HVGA display and surprisingly it still runs on Android 2.1. DiGi is said to be offering exclusive metallic red colour version which comes with colour matching portable stereo speakers. More details of the phone here.

From now until 5th September, DiGi is bundling the Sony Ericsson W8 with DiGi Easy Prepaid that comes pre-bundled with RM50 reload credit and 12 months subscription of DiGiMusic for RM799.

For postpaid users, the W8 can be yours for RM99 over 24 months or RM399 for 12 months contract of DG Smart Plan. On the promo page, it was mentioned that the W8 is offered with DG Smart Plan 68 and 88. No details were provided about the new Smart Plan 88 and it is only available at DiGi roadshows happening at Sunway Pyramid, Queensbay Mall and EC Mall this weekend.
