Samsung has released an official promo clip on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which showcases its hardware specification and features. Those who are critical about size and weight, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is lighter and thinner than the iPad 2 with only 560g for the WiFi version and it is only 8.6mm thick.
As mentioned previously, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available with Android 3.1 for both WiFi and 3G versions. This is a good thing considering other tablets like the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer has received the update.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is expected to be launched in Malaysia around next month and we’re curious to know how much will they priced this tablet. Both Acer and ASUS had shaken the Android tablet market in Malaysia with its pricing below RM2000 while the Motorola Xoom is still priced at a premium above RM2000. It is no brainer to why ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is one of the best selling Honeycomb tablet to date.
If Samsung wants to take a big slice in the tablet segment, we hope they consider their pricing very carefully.
