HTC Incredible S coming to Malaysia this Friday

For those of you waiting for the latest HTC device to come to Malaysia, now is the time to rejoice. HTC Malaysia has just issued a media invite to the launch of the HTC Incredible S — one of the newer HTC devices to hit the local market.

The HTC Incredible S launch is pegged for this Friday, March 18. We’ll be there to give you the latest updates and details.

Top line spec of the HTC Incredible S include a 1GHz processor (sorry no dual-core) with a massive 768MB or RAM and 1.1GB of internal storage. In terms of imaging there are two cameras on the Incredible S. One is an 8MP rear-facing unit with auto-focus and dual-LED flash and 720p video recording capability. The other is a 1.3MP front-facing unit for video calls on top of picture taking and video recording. Wrapping it all up is a 4-inch Super LCD touchscreen (480×800 pixels). The Incredible S runs Android 2.2 (Froyo)

Other than that, everything else is what you’d expect from a contemporary smart phone with Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi all included.

Ahead of the official Malaysia launch, not much details have been revealed but a tie-up with a telco (most probably Maxis) is not out of the question. In terms of pricing, we have no real indication but we’re expecting the Incredible S to retail around RM2,500 outright.

And that’s about it, stay tuned for our Friday updates at the launch.

In the meantime, head on over to after the jump for a promo video on the Incredible S.
