The environmental impact of cell phones

Have you ever wondered how much of an environmental footprint mobile phones leave behind?

Not really? Well we’re guilty on that account too. Perhaps the infographic after the jump will make think otherwise.

With over close to 7 billion people in the world and over 4 billion mobile phones being used today, the impact on the environment mobile phones have in terms of effects to the environment, power consumption and the utilisation of raw materials to make these devices, is something we can’t avoid but to take notice of.
