After much teasing and leaks of the 7″ version of the Dell Streak, Dell together with T-Mobile has finally announced the device promoting it as T-Mobile’s first ever 4G enabled tablet. T-Mobile currently runs on HSPA+ which they boldly claim as America’s largest 4G network.
Just a quick run through on the device, the 7″ tablet with its toughen Gorilla Glass displays 800×480 and it is powered by a dual-core Tegra 2 processor. The resolution is quite a let down as we’re expecting 1024×600 resolution on a 7-incher like its Samsung Galaxy Tab rival. While Honeycomb OS is the buzz now for Android Tablets, the Dell Streak 7 runs on the older Android 2.2 like other current tablets you’ll find on sale today. It weights 450g and comes with a 2780mAh battery.

Next question most of us will be asking is when will it reach Malaysia and when will they release Android 3.0 Honeycomb update if any. Until now, the Dell Streak 5″ version has yet to make an official sales appearance in Malaysia.
