HTC Wildfire gets Android Froyo update in Malaysia

Good news for HTC Wildfire users! The Android 2.2 Froyo update is finally available for South East Asian region via Over The Air (OTA) update. This comes just several days after it was made available in Europe. You should be getting a software update notification soon or if you can’t wait, you can download it immediately at [ Settings > About Phone > System Software Updates ].

The latest firmware carries the number 2.24.707.1 and if you don’t have a data plan, we strongly suggest you download via WiFi. As per any software upgrade, it is advisable to backup your data first before proceeding. Support details are now showing at HTC SEA support page.
