Right after the announcement of Nexus S and Gingerbread, Google had given Maps a big upgrade with 3D interaction and offline use. Plus the maps can now rotate to your compass orientation just like iPhone users. Do note however 3D isn’t supported in Malaysia yet and Japan is the only country supported in Asia.
If you have problem finding it in the market especially users in Malaysia, here’s a solution to upgrade your maps. You can download the APK file directly here, thanks to thegadgets.net.
Since this is not downloaded thru the market, you would need to enable installation of unknown source under Settings > Application.
