John’s Phone, the world’s most simplest no frills phone

Meet John’s Phone, a phone developed by a guy called John Doe Amsterdam (Is that even his real name?) that claims to be the world’s most simplest cell phone. The basic device simply does 2 things, to make and receive calls. There’s no camera, apps, phone organisers or even SMS! What the device has is a nice brick design with large buttons that’s user friendly for kids and senior citizens to use. On the side, you’ll get a lock switch and volume adjustments. The only luxury you’ll get is the simple LCD display which shows incoming or outgoing numbers and battery indicator.

To keep track with those phone numbers, there’s a phone book at the back which is literally a phone book. They even included a pen for you to jot down those important numbers. Got a frequent list of dialed numbers? No worries as the device is capable of storing speed dial up to 10 numbers which is almost like the old cordless phones from the last decade. On battery life, they claim that its simplistic operations offer a long standby time of up to 3 weeks!

John’s Phone comes in a variety of colours with the basic white going for €69.99 (Approx. RM300) while the other coloured choices are priced at €79.99 (Approx. RM340). This is quite pricey in Malaysia considering that one can buy a barebone monochrome phone within the RM100 range.
