Maxis promotes Torch for those who lose their phones

We don’t know about you, but we find the BlackBerry Torch ad by Maxis as plain silly. It portrays the high end BlackBerry Torch as a replacement phone for those who lose their device. Is that all they could come out? Although we don’t really think that highly on the device, they could have at least talk about the sliding QWERTY keyboard with touch screen and that new BlackBerry 6 OS.

If someone were to really lose a phone, I doubt they could wait for the Torch since Maxis is still in “Registration of Interest” mode. It would make more sense if it is available for purchase right now. They could make a special arrangement for those who really lose their phones. Perhaps immediate stock for those who can prove it with a form of a dead phone line or police report.
