Reuters reports that the Samsung Galaxy S has sold over 5 million units worldwide, making it the best selling Samsung model today. This includes the various variants sold in the US with its respective partner telcos. The 5 million figure for the Galaxy S alone almost matches the total phones sold by Samsung last year.
Their success is attributed to 100+ telco tie ups worldwide and its impressive hardware combination especially its Super AMOLED display. Kudos to the South Korean electronics maker for having a great device. We are still waiting for its successor rumoured to be Galaxy S 2 that was speculated to offer 1280×720 display.
