T-Mobile G2 officially revealed, pre-order starts now

It is finally revealed! The replacement of the pioneering G1, the G2 is now open for pre-ordering at BestBuy.

Just as mentioned earlier, the T-Mobile G2 runs on a 800MHz processor, Android 2.2 Froyo, 4GB on board storage and supports HSPA+, making it the first Android smartphone to offer “4G-like speeds” on a 3G network. Pre-orders starts on 10th September by BestBuy and it expects to hit all stores by 6th October. It goes for $199 over a 2 year contract.

While this is good news, we’re also waiting for the non T-Mobile branded version, dubbed the HTC Desire Z. We’re looking forward for its announcement during the 15th September HTC event in London.
