While LG hasn’t been ground breaking when it comes with Android phone, now there’s something that attracts attention. While everyone else except the Nexus One is yet to push out Android 2.2 Froyo update, LG has announced 2 models the Optimus One and Optimus Chic with Froyo installed. This would be the first non-Nexus One Android phone to be sold on the shelf with froyo.
The Optimus line up has more phones with Android and various other OS that will be revealed soon. No pricing details yet but it just comes to show that Froyo is possible on non-google phones today. Now that puts more pressure on other manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola and Samsung to get Froyo out fast.
