It has been quite a while since we heard from U Mobile. Today, they have launched a promo on its IDD Services called IDD Bonanza.
While other telco players have been pushing hard on special rates for selected IDD country, it is obvious that U Mobile should join the bandwagon as well. At the moment, they are having promotion for 5 selected Asian countries namely China, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and India.
The promo rate of 0.7 per second is equivalent to 42 sen/minute for both fixed and mobile lines.
From the comparison table above, the U Mobile promo IDD rates are attractive for those who make lots of calls to Indonesia, Vietnam and India which is the lowest in the market right now. This makes it more targeted for migrant workers in Malaysia which are mostly from Indonesia and Vietnam.
Putting rates aside, U Mobile has an advantage when it comes to billing thanks to its per second billing system which offers more accurate charge. As comparison, the rest of the competition are still using the old fashion 20 seconds to 1 minute block billing.
Not forgetting also is the fact that for U Mobile prepaid, there is an additional 20% bonus for each top up. This stretches your ringgit further in today’s situation where every sen counts.
He hope that U Mobile would continue to offer better rates for more countries such as Australia, UK and United States, where lots of Malaysian students are studying.
