iOS 11.1.1 is now available and it fixes an annoying bug which auto-corrects the commonly used letter “i” to “A [?]”. We haven’t encountered this problem on our Apple devices and if you’re facing such problems, you should download the latest update right away.
The bug had appeared when iOS 11.1 was released with a bunch of new emojis. For those who had this problem can turn autocorrect completely off. Apple’s temporary solution was to use the text replacement feature to replace the lowercase “i” to a capital “I”. Once you’ve installed iOS 11.1.1, the auto-correct feature should be back to normal.
Apart from that, the iOS 11.1.1 update also fixes an issue where “Hey Siri” stops working. To download, just head over to Settings > General > Software Update.
