It took a while but it’s finally here. After opening up to all Android (non-Galaxy) devices, the latest Samsung smartwatches and fitness band are now compatible on Apple’s iOS.

The iOS support is applicable for the Samsung Gear S2, Gear S3 and the Gear Fit2. In terms of iPhone compatibility, Samsung says that it will work with the iPhone 5 and above running at least iOS 9.0.

To connect the Gear device with your iPhone, you’ll need to install either the Gear S (Gear S2/S3) or Gear Fit (Gear Fit2) app. Of course, the features won’t be as extensive as when connected with a Galaxy smartphone, but you should be able to receive notifications, install apps and track your health activities via the Gear app.

In case you missed it, the Gear S3 in both frontier and classic edition is officially priced at RM1,399 while the Gear Fit2 is priced at RM699.
