Huawei’s 2nd generation TalkBand has been spotted in SIRIM’s database, meaning that the wearable is on it’s way to Malaysia.
The smartwatch has been given a good upgrade over the original TalkBand in terms of looks and functionality, with the TalkBand B2 sporting a leather strap and a touchscreen on top of still retaining the pop out earpiece that sets the TalkBand wearables apart from their competitors.
Unlike other smart wearables, the TalkBand is basically a bluetooth headset that doubles up as a fitness tracker with notification when it’s mounted on your wrist.
The Huawei Talkband B2 was approved yesterday, meaning that it’s just a matter of time before the smartwatch starts getting sold here and it’s likely for it to be launched together with the Huawei P8 when it hits in June.
No word yet on how much the smartwatch will be sold locally but there will be two versions available with the expected price for the basic version to be around RM 600 and the premium gold edition to come in around RM 800.
