Besides deploying more DC Chargers in Penang Island in partnership with MBPP, Gentari has just turned on its biggest EV charging hub yet on the island.
They have turned on not one, not two but three 180kW DC Chargers in a single location at Bayan Baru. With a total of 6x DC charge points, this is currently one of the biggest DC charging hubs in Penang.
As part of the opening promo, users can enjoy 15% off for a limited time.
The new Gentari EV charging hub is located at Petronas Bayan Baru, which is about 2km away from Queensbay Mall. For this location, they have deployed three 180kW DC Chargers which two CCS2 nozzles each.
In total, the Petronas Bayan Baru location offers a total DC charging capacity of 540kW.
The Gentari EV chargers at Petronas Bayan Baru are priced at RM1.60 per kWh. Gentari Go subscribers can enjoy extra savings depending on their subscribed plan.
You can activate and pay for charging using the Gentari Go and JomCharge app.
As part of the opening promo for this new location, EV users can enjoy 15% discount by applying the code GO15BB before activating the charger on the Gentari Go app.
In case you missed it, TNB has also deployed a high-powered DC Charging location in Bayan Lepas. Located at TNB PRCC, the location has a total capacity of 400kW shared dynamically across 5 bays. Equipped with 250A cables, 400V EVs can get up to a maximum of 100kW while 800V EVs can get up to 200kW.
Take note that this location is only open to the public from 7am to 12am daily.
