Samsung has announced that its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on 26 February 2026 at 2:00AM (Malaysian time), where we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S26 series to make its official debut. Samsung Malaysia is also offering a RM150 eVoucher and a chance to win prizes worth up to RM68,800 if you register your interest online.

On top of that, full specs for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra have also been leaked, and things look, well, familiar, for better or worse. Here’s all you need to know about Samsung’s upcoming flagships so far.

Privacy Display, faster charging and performance, larger battery

As reported earlier and teased by Samsung multiple times, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to introduce a new feature called Privacy Display. Just as the name suggests, it protects content on your display from prying eyes, making it hard to see from off angles, similar to a privacy screen protector.

However, thanks to a unique OLED display technology combined with AI smarts, Privacy Display takes things to the next level. Users will be able to turn the feature on manually or automatically based on certain conditions, such as when using banking or messaging apps, checking your photo gallery or notifications, or entering a PIN or password.

Beyond that, leaked info suggests that Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones will only be bringing upgrades in the performance and battery departments. For starters, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are expected to feature Samsung’s own 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset, while the Ultra model will get Qualcomm’s slightly overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also said to support improved wired charging speeds of 65W, while the Galaxy S26+ could see a bump to 45W, similar to the current Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 FE. Unfortunately, the “base” Galaxy S26 is likely to stick with 25W charging.

To compensate, leaked specs suggest the base Galaxy S26 might include an extra 300mAh battery, totaling 4,300mAh for the compact flagship. The Galaxy S26+ and S26 Ultra, meanwhile, are expected to retain their 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively.

Wireless charging is likely to remain “Qi2 ready”, without built-in magnets like Apple’s MagSafe or Google’s Pixelsnap. And it seems silicon carbon battery technology, widely adopted by Chinese smartphone makers, won’t make an appearance either.

Up front, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass as standard. As for the displays themselves, here are the leaked specs:

  • Galaxy S26: 6.3″ (2340×1080) 120Hz AMOLED 2X
  • Galaxy S26+: 6.7″ (3120×1440) 120Hz AMOLED 2X
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6.9″ (3120×1440) 120Hz AMOLED 2X

Cameras and design: More of the same?

If you’re hoping for major camera upgrades, you might be disappointed. Like the current Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are speculated to carry a 50MP main camera, paired with a 10MP 3x telephoto and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, meanwhile, is said to offer a 200MP main shooter, a 10MP 3x telephoto sensor, a 50MP 5x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide unit. All three phones are expected to retain the same 12MP selfie shooter as before.

Out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to ship with One UI 8.5, based on Android 16.

Finally, on the design front, leaked renders show minor changes, with a Galaxy Z Fold 7-inspired rear camera island giving the devices a slightly refreshed look.
