The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to be announced soon at the upcoming IFA 2014 in Berlin. While most of the new high-end smart phones launched recently are having a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM, you would expect Sony Mobile to offer similar if not better specs than that.
Underneath its new refreshed exterior, serial leaker @Evleaks suggests that the new Xperia Z3 will be running on a 2.4GHz Quad-Core processor with Adreno 330 GPU (Snapdragon 801 series). While the Xperia Z2 is currently having a 5.2″ Full HD display, the new model would be slightly smaller at 5.15″ and does the same Full HD 1080p resolution. Meanwhile, the rest of the specs are similar with 3GB RAM, 16GB of storage and a combination of 20.7MP + 2MP cameras.
If the specs are true, the Xperia Z3 doesn’t look like a major upgrade for those who are using the Xperia Z2. Perhaps Sony has more surprises on the software side of things.
