The Samsung Gear Live which was announced during Google I/O 2014 is now available in Malaysia. Among the 3 smart watches available, the Gear Live stands out as the only Android Wear device with a heart rate sensor underneath. If you want to get one for your wrist, on online retailer TechBug has listed the Gear Live at RM999.
From the appearance, it looks like a Samsung Gear 2 smart watch with the same 1.63″ Super AMOLED display that does 320×320 pixels resolution. Powering the watch is a 1.2GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. Like the new Gear smart watches, it is also water and dust resistant with IP67 rating.
If you’re looking for something different, they are also selling the LG G Watch as well at RM999. On Lelong, another retailer expansys is selling it slightly cheaper at RM825. In terms display, the Gear Live has an upper hand as the LG G Watch’s 1.65″ display has a lower 280×280 pixels resolution.
