Ugreen has announced that its new MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank is the world’s first powerbank to receive official Qi 2.2 certification from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). With the Qi 2.2 standard, the Ugreen MagFlow is capable of delivering faster wireless charging of up to 25W, which is faster than the usual Qi 2.0 wireless charging rate of 15W.
As the first certified product under the new Qi wireless charging standard, Ugreen says they are marking a key step forward in reliable, efficient and high-speed charging for the next-generation of devices. The powerbank is also compatible with current iPhone models and is engineered to potentially support the iPhone 16 series and newer with faster 25W wireless charging.
It has been speculated that the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will support faster MagSafe charging of up to 25W with support for Qi 2.2 standard.
The Ugreen MagFlow is a compact powerbank that can charge your smartphone without cables. It features a strong magnetic array which aligns the powerbank to the phone’s wireless charging coil, while ensuring compatibility with various magnetic phone cases.
Ugreen added that the Qi 2.2 standard is built on Apple’s MagSafe architecture and it ensures wider compatibility for devices that support the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) while setting higher standards for thermal control, charging stability and overall interoperability. It is also backward compatible with Qi devices on older standards.
While the full spec sheet isn’t revealed yet, we can tell that the Ugreen MagFlow has a battery capacity of 10,000mAh and features an LCD display that shows the battery percentage level and charging modes. Besides the 25W wireless charger, the MagFlow also has a built-in USB-C cable and a USB-C port, capable of pushing up to 30W.
If you’re interested, you’ll have to wait for a couple of months as the Ugreen MagFlow is set to launch sometime in Q3 2025 through Ugreen’s official online channels in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.
