We are just three days away from the launch of the beefed-up PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console which is set to take place on the 7th of November. However, it seems like there have been some last-minute leaks that have just popped up on the internet over the weekend, including a teardown of the device as well as its detailed specs sheet.

PlayStation 5 Pro sports an identical internal layout to PlayStation 5 Slim

According to a teardown video of the PlayStation 5 Pro that was uploaded to YouTube yesterday, seemingly to be from a Portuguese console repair shop, the PlayStation 5 Pro can be seen with an internal layout that’s identical to that of the PlayStation 5 Slim.

In fact, sources have cited the PlayStation 5 Pro’s faceplate as being compatible with the PlayStation 5 Slim but not the regular model.

PlayStation 5 Pro to get 16.7 TFLOPS GPU, 16GB dedicated GDDR6 VRAM, 2GB DDR5 system RAM

Aside from the teardown, what appears to be a spec sheet of the PlayStation 5 Pro has also been shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @videotechuk_, who’s known as a Rockstar Games leaker.

Besides some information that has been made known earlier, the Pro console can be seen sporting a new 16.7 TFLOPS GPU, 16GB of dedicated GDD6 VRAM, as well as 2GB DDR5 system VRAM, which should give the PlayStation 5 a significant performance upgrade over its standard sibling.

If you’ve been following the unveiling of the PlayStation 5 Pro, you would know that the console will continue to sport the AMG Ryzen Zen 2 architecture as its regular counterpart and a 2TB solid-state drive. Its new GPU has also been claimed to have 67% more computing units and 28% faster memory as compared to the base PlayStation 5.

PlayStation 5 Pro to reach Malaysia on 7th November, priced at RM3,849

Announced over a month ago, the PlayStation 5 Pro will be reaching Malaysian shores on the 7th of November 2024, the same day as the rest of the world. It also sports a RM3,849 price tag in our market, making it a little bit more expensive than in countries such as Singapore, Japan, and the U.S.
