In addition to the Apple Pencil Pro, last night’s Let Loose event also saw the unveiling of a brand-new Apple Magic Keyboard to accompany the M4-powered iPad Pro. The new keyboard still has the same floating cantilever design but Apple said that it is now thinner and lighter than previous releases.
Apple claimed the new Magic Keyboard feels like a MacBook
Aside from that, another update that the Magic Keyboard brings to the table is the inclusion of a function row. It has 14 keys that allow users to quickly access certain features such as screen brightness, volume controls, search, and media playback.
The new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro also comes with an aluminium palm rest, while there is also a much larger glass trackpad that features haptic feedback. Other features that also come with it include backlit keys with a scissor mechanism and a 1mm travel distance as well as a USB-C connector.
Not enough with that, Apple claimed that the experience of using the new Magic Keyboard is just like using a MacBook. However, it only works exclusively with the new M4-powered iPad Pro.
The new Magic Keyboard is already available for order in Malaysia
In Malaysia, the new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro with M4 is priced at RM1,699 for the 13-inch version while the smaller 11-inch variant goes for RM1,479. Regardless of the size, it can be obtained in black and white to go together with the tablet’s Silver and Space Black colourways.
Interestingly enough, both variants can be ordered immediately on Apple Malaysia’s online store. This is even though the release date for the M4-based iPad Pro in Malaysia has not yet been revealed by Apple.
