Want to get a Yes 5G postpaid or prepaid without needing a physical SIM? The telco YTL Communications is finally introducing eSIM for its 5G services. With an eSIM, you can activate a mobile service on a compatible smartphone without having to insert a physical SIM card.

Yes 5G eSIM is now available

With a Yes 5G eSIM, you can order a plan and start using it immediately on your smartphone without having to wait for the SIM card to arrive at your doorstep. This works great as a second line on your supported device and there’s no risk of having a damaged or loose SIM.

How to switch from physical Yes 5G SIM to eSIM?

The eSIM is available for Yes Power 35 Postpaid, Yes Infinite+ Postpaid and Yes FT5G Unlimited Prepaid plans. If you’re an existing customer, you can make a switch to eSIM by launching the Yes 5G app and then tap on “Replace SIM”. Follow the displayed instructions and then tap on “Install” on the home screen.

For new Yes 5G subscribers, you can get the eSIM from the Yes Online Store, Yes app or at physical Yes Stores and authorised dealers.

At the moment, Yes 5G’s eSim is only supported by a selected number of Android devices from Samsung, Honor, Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo. Here’s the full list published on their website at the time of writing.
