Prices of Cloud Storage are coming down and Google Drive has just announced its new pricing for additional storage options. On top of its standard 15GB free storage space, you can get additional 100GB for just US$1.99/month while 1TB is priced at US$9.99/month.
Previously, the 100GB and 1TB option were priced at US$4.99/month and US$49.99/month respectively. If you need more, Google is also offering up to 30TB at the same US$9.99/month per TB rate. That comes up to just US$0.01 per GB each month.
Today most users rely on multiple devices that are constantly connected. While it is cheaper to buy external hard disk drives, Cloud storage is much more convenient and flexible if you share and backup files between your work computer, smart phones and tablet. As comparison, Dropbox is offering 100GB for US$9.99/month or US$99.99/year while Box.net charges US$5/month for 100MB and US$15/month for 1TB.
