Pakej Perpaduan RM30 for 30GB available now, here’s everything you need to know

After having announced it late last year, the Pakej Perpaduan mobile data option is finally available to the public. Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil has officially launched it together with the various telcos taking part in the initiative.

Regardless of which telco you end up going with, the terms and conditions for each Pakej Perpaduan are the same across the board. This means that you can choose to go with any telco of your liking, sign up for the RM30 plan, and expect the same basic benefits. Speaking of telcos, here are the list of telcos taking part in the Pakej Perpaduan initiative:

  • Digi
  • Hotlink
  • One XOX
  • U Mobile
  • Unifi Mobile
  • Xpax
  • Yes 5G

To be eligible for the Pakej Perpaduan, you’ll need to be one of the following:

  • Aged 30 years old and below
  • Aged 60 years old and above
  • Police or Army Veteran
  • Person with Disability
  • Part of B40 segment

You can visit the websites of any of the telcos listed above to sign up for the Pakej Perpaduan for RM30; the initiative uses your identification card for verification if you’re part of the youth demographic, but for the other four categories you’ll need to visit one of their customer support centers before you can purchase the Pakej Perpaduan.

Once you do, you’ll then get 30GB of mobile data to use that’s capped to speeds of 3Mbps. This 30GB quota will be available for you to use for anything, with no usage limitations on it, and will last 180 days. Once the 30GB of data is finished, you’ll need to purchase another Pakej Perpaduan for another RM30 if you want to get the 30GB of data again. The last day to purchase a Pakej Perpaduan for RM30 is 31 December 2023, at which point you’ll have the next 180 days to use it.

The government’s Pakej Perpaduan essentially replaces the old Pakej Remaja Keluarga Malaysia plan that had offered 20GB of data valid for three months for RM30. If you would prefer a fixed broadband package instead of a mobile data plan, the government has also announced a cheaper fixed broadband package for the B40 segment. Dubbed Pakej Perpaduan Jalur Lebar Tetap, it’ll offer 30Mbps broadband speeds with no data cap for RM69/month, with the plan expected to be introduced by internet service providers in the coming weeks.
