Sony has just released a teaser for its upcoming Mobile World Congress announcement. From what we know, Sony is expecting to release a new replacement of its current Xperia Z1 smart phone and the Xperia Tablet Z. Its upcoming smart phone which have been leaked as the D6503 is speculated to be called as the Xperia Z2.
The new smart phone is expected to come with a larger 5.2″ Full HD display and runs on a more uprated 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 with 3GB RAM. Based on the recent 12 minute hands-on video, the new model also comes with a host of new features including built-in voice mail recording, smart display, time shift video and much more. While the camera remains unchanged with a 20.7MP sensor, the new model is capable of recording 4K videos and is also speculated to feature front stereo speakers.
For its upcoming tablet, a recent leak suggests that it will be named as the Xperia Tablet Z2. Internally it will run on a similar 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 with 3GB of RAM but the rest of the hardware remains unchanged including its 10.1″ Full HD display and water resistant properties. Dimension wise, the Xperia Tablet Z2 is set to be the thinnest and lightest full sized tablet with a purported 6.4mm thickness and weighs just from 426 grams for the WiFi version. As comparison, the iPad Air with its 9.7″ Retina Display is 7.5mm thick and weighs 469 grams for the WiFi version.
