Fresh off its launch of the Xiaomi 12, the Chinese giant is back with yet another launch, this time the global unveiling of the Redmi Note 11 series. It is however not the same as the Redmi Note 11 series that debuted in China last October, with wildly different hardware under the hood.
Redmi Note 11 series pricing and availability
There’s no word just yet on local availability and pricing on the Redmi Note 11 lineup just yet, though we’ve been told by Xiaomi Malaysia that it should be announced very soon. In the meantime, here are the prices announced during the launch event itself:

All of them sport the increasingly popular flat side edges, reminiscent of the recent Apple iPhones. They also come in three colourways, namely gray, blue and white. Price wise though there’s certainly been an unexpected rise. For comparison, the Redmi Note 10 Pro launched globally last year with a starting price of USD279, with the top spec priced at USD329.
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G specs
Starting off with the only 5G capable device in the lineup, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that’s also capable of a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s powered by the midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 system-on-chip, which offers a 15% CPU improvement and a 30% GPU improvement compared to the older Snapdragon 690 chip. This gets paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
In the camera department, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has a triple rear camera setup, with a 108MP main shooter taking up the top of the camera island. Beneath is are two more sensors, the first an 8MP ultra wide camera and the other a 2MP macro lens. As for selfies, that gets taken care of by a 16MP front-facing camera housed in a small punch hole cutout.
Other features of note include a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging; Xiaomi claims that it’ll take just 15 minutes to charge the battery to 50%. There’s also an IR blaster, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as NFC support and expandable storage too. As for biometric unlocking, you’ll find a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device.
Redmi Note 11 Pro specs
Just like its 5G-capable sibling, the Redmi Note 11 Pro has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display capable of pushing a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood though, things are a little different, as it’s powered instead by a MediaTek Helio G96 system-on-chip, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Another difference between it and the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is in the camera department. It has a quad rear camera setup, with the same 108MP main camera flanked by an 8MP ultra wide camera and a 2MP macro lens too, along with an additional 2MP depth camera. In the front meanwhile you’ll find a 16MP selfie camera in a punch hole cutout.
Elsewhere, it’s pretty similar to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. It has the same 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging, the same stereo speaker setup and 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a fingerprint sensor on the side. The Redmi Note 11 Pro comes with an IR blaster, expandable storage and NFC support too.
Redmi Note 11S specs
The Redmi Note 11S looks to be an in-between of sorts in the product stack. It has a smaller 6.43-inch, FHD+ AMOLED display compared to the larger Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Note 11 Pro, as well as a lower maximum refresh rate of just 90Hz. However, it does have the same silicon underneath as the Note 11 Pro, the MediaTek Helio G96. This gets mated to up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The Redmi Note 11S also has the same camera setup as the Redmi Note 11 Pro. This means a quad camera setup with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide camera, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s also a 16MP selfie camera in a punch hole cutout in the display. The similarities continue elsewhere, as it has stereo speakers, a side fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster, expandable storage and NFC support too. However, while it still has a 5,000mAh battery, its fast charging speeds are halved to just 33W wired charging. Nevertheless, Xiaomi says you’ll still be able to charge up to 100% in roughly an hour.
Redmi Note 11 specs
Lastly, we have the base model Redmi Note 11 itself. On the surface, it looks just like the Redmi Note 11S, with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display pushing out a 90Hz refresh rate. However, under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, and it’s mated to up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The differences continue in the camera department, as unlike the other three entries, the Redmi Note 11 packs just a 50MP main camera in its quad rear camera setup. That main camera is flanked by an 8MP ultra wide camera, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has a slightly weaker selfie camera, with a 13MP front camera in a punch hole cutout instead of a 16MP one used by the others.
Moving on to the rest of the device though, it’s mostly the same as the Redmi Note 11S. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging, a side fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, NFC support and a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as stereo speakers too.
