Slowly but surely, more and more about the upcoming OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro are being revealed. We’re already seeing a few teaser pictures from OnePlus‘ social pages, and their launch page on the OnePlus website is already up too. Those however can only get us a look at the design of the OnePlus 10 Pro. OnePlus’ founder Pete Lau though perhaps didn’t get the memo, and while tweeting about the OnePlus 10 Pro to build up hype, also revealed the specs of the device.
Right off the bat, we can see that the expected inclusions are there; Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 system-on-chip, a 5,000mAh battery, support for NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and VoLTE as well as the second generation Hasselblad Camera for Mobile, building on their relationship first seen on the OnePlus 9 lineup. It’ll also come with Android 12 out of the box, via the OxygenOS 12 skin. Pete’s tweets also curiously keep some things hidden — there’s no mention of the display size, nor did he reveal the RAM and storage configurations available on the OnePlus 10 Pro though we do know it’ll be LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory and storage.
Nevertheless, there’s still some significant features listed here. The OnePlus 10 Pro will use a second generation LTPO AMOLED display, and it will have a variable refresh rate capable of up to 120Hz. It’s camera setup on the rear will consist of a 48MP main shooter flanked by 50MP and 8MP cameras while the selfie camera will be a 32MP shooter. The camera island itself is a square that wraps around the side of the device, giving it a certainly unique look that some say remind them a bit like a Samsung. Pete’s tweets also reveal 80W SuperVOOC fast charging on the OnePlus 10 Pro as well as 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. And while there’s no display size mentioned, he did list out the dimensions as 163 x 73.9 x 8.55mm.
We know many OnePlus fans certainly can’t wait for the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro to finally launch. OnePlus will be making it official later this month on the 11th of January in China first, with a global launch soon to follow. Hopefully the OnePlus 10 Pro will meet the big expectations and hype being brought about by both OnePlus themselves and their fans.
