COVID-19: 1,139 new cases today, Sarawak continues to record over 300 new cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,139 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 354,468. There are 4 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,304.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,199 new recoveries and a total of 339,067 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.65% while the mortality rate remains at 0.37%.

There are currently 14,097 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 194 are in ICU while 86 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,139 new cases today, 13 are imported while 1,126 are transmitted locally. Sarawak continues to record the most with 332 new cases, followed by Selangor by 294 cases, Johor with 102 new cases and Pulau Pinang with 93 cases.
