COVID-19: 1,349 new cases today, Sarawak tops the list with 419 cases reported

Malaysia has recorded 1,349 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 350,959. There are 2 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,288.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,270 new recoveries and a total of 335,162 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is still 95.50% while the mortality rate remains at 0.37%.

There are currently 14,509 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 186 are in ICU while 94 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,349 new cases today, 7 are imported while 1,342 are transmitted locally. Sarawak recorded the most with 419 new cases, followed by Selangor with 343 new cases, Pulau Pinang with 185 cases and Johor with 95 cases.
