During today’s National Security Council briefing, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that the current Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) for 6 states/territories and Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) for 10 states/territories will be extended until 14th April 2021. The decision was made due to the high number of red zones and new daily COVID-19 cases reported despite the declining trend.

The states and territories of Selangor, Johor, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur and Pulau Pinang will remain under CMCO until the 14th April 2021. Meanwhile, CMCO in Sarawak has been extended until 12th April 2021.

The RMCO status for Sabah, Perak, Pahang, Terengganu, Melaka, Perlis, Putrajaya, Labuan, Kedah (except for Kuala Muda) and Negeri Sembilan (except for Seremban) has been extended until 14th April 2021.

The existing SOPs will remain unchanged for both RMCO and CMCO areas. Interstate travel is still not permitted, unless it is for “Green travel bubble” between RMCO areas through a registered travel agency under MOTAC.
