Realme Malaysia has introduced its larger 20,000mAh power bank which supports both QuickCharge and Power Delivery fast charging standards. This allows you to fast charge most devices and it has a maximum output of 18W.
The power bank is officially priced at RM149 in Malaysia. It will go on sale first through offline dealers nationwide from the 23rd January 2021. If you prefer to buy it online, the first sale is happening on the 27th January on both Lazada and Shopee.
The Realme power bank exterior features fine micro-stripe textures which is designed to repel fingerprints and it offers better grip. It’s available in both yellow and black.
It comes with two USB-A output ports and one USB-C port which is used for both output and input. There’s also a power button and 4 tiny LEDs for battery level indicator. Realme didn’t provide much info on the power output for each individual port but it did mention that it supports 18W max output for both USB-PD and QC charging. You can charge up to 3 devices at the same time but this would likely affect the overall charging speed.
To fast charge USB-PD devices such as Samsung Galaxy or iPhone models, you’ll have to charge with the USB-C port with a USB-C to USB-C cable. You can also fast charge the power bank with an 18W power adapter. A 2-in-1 cable which comes with both micro-USB and USB-C heads is also included.
To charge smaller devices such as your fitness band, smart watches, and wireless earbuds, there’s a low-current mode which can be activated by double-tapping the power button. Realme also boasts 14 layers of circuit protection which helps to prevent overcharging, overvoltage and surge for both input and output.
If you own a Realme smartphone that supports 30W fast charging, there’s a faster 30W Dart Charge 10,000mAh Power bank that’s priced at RM199. The 30W power bank is slimmer and it also supports Oppo VOOC and SuperVOOC flash charging and OnePlus Warp Charge fast charging standards.
