KLIA is still facing disruption of its systems which causes delays to scheduled flights. Passengers are still encouraged to arrive at the airport at least four hours before their scheduled departure time.
In their latest update provided at 7.00am, Malaysia Airports is still stabilising their systems at KLIA. At the moment it isn’t clear when the issue will be rectified. Yesterday, MAHB had mentioned in their 8.00pm update that hardware equipment replacements were required and testing will be conducted yesterday evening.
As of 10pm yesterday, 68 delayed flights have been reported.
Due to the delays, Malaysia Airports have utilised all 38 remote bays at KLIA Main Terminal and they have deployed four additional buses as well as ground handling services from airlines.
They have also added that free parking was also provided to all passengers that parked at KLIA Main Terminal (Block A, B, C, D) until 6.00am today (23 August).
Last night, MAHB has also extended the operating hours of all airports nationwide to cater to delayed flights departing from KLIA.
