OPPO Find X

It has been a while since we last saw a flagship smartphone from OPPO. These days, the Chinese smartphone maker has been busy with mid-range models that are focused on taking AI-enhanced selfies. If you’re looking for an ultimate device with the best specs possible, it looks like OPPO is finally releasing a new Find series smartphone very soon.

From the official teaser, the upcoming device will be called the OPPO Find X. This will succeed its former OPPO Find 7 flagship and the name was trademarked two months ago.

Details of the device are quite scarce at the moment but based on early speculation, it will run on a top of the line Snapdragon 845 processor and comes with a 19:9 display with a notch. Looking at the latest crop of OPPO and OnePlus devices, it shouldn’t be surprising to see an iPhone X inspired design for the next Find series.

Recently there’s also an unverified photo that suggests that the Find X would feature a triple-camera setup for the rear. Interestingly, it lacks a fingerprint sensor which means that it might come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Find series has always been a technological showcase for OPPO. The Find 5 was one of the first smartphones to come with a Full HD display while the Find 7 came with a Quad HD display. It’s possible that we might see OPPO’s Super VOOC charging technology that could fully charge a device in just 15 minutes. Are you excited for the return of the Find series? Or would you go for the OnePlus 6 with a more stock-like user interface?
