You’ve probably seen leaks and renders of the Galaxy Note8. But here’s a legit look at Samsung’s upcoming productivity phablet that’s launching in 3 weeks time.
Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks is famous for revealing press renders ahead of its official launch including the current Galaxy S8. Now he is at it again by posting a front image of the Galaxy Note8 in Midnight Black. Regardless of which colour you pick, the front will be black to make the front look seamless while the screen is off. Still retained is a double curved screen that flows side to side.
Since Samsung has streamlined its model number for both Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, it is no surprise that the Galaxy Note8 resembles closely with its current Galaxy S8/S8+. The only noticeable difference is that it looks squarish with less curvy corners, which is what Samsung has done on the Galaxy Note7. The physical home button in front is also gone and you can expect a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that’s similar to the Galaxy S8/S8+.
If we look at the buttons above, the Galaxy Note8 will definitely get a dedicated button for Bixby which finally understands English in the US. So far there’s no word of Bixby Voice availability for our region. Meanwhile, the volume rocker position is noticeably slightly lower than the Galaxy S8+ and that would make it easier to reach with a single hand.
To recap on what we know so far, the Galaxy Note8 is slightly larger than the current Galaxy S8+ with a 6.3″ Infinity Display that pushes a wide-screen 18.5:9 display aspect ratio. The processor underneath is likely to be the same Exynos 8895 processor as the Galaxy S8 and this time it is expected to come with a dual-camera lens at the rear which is said to be capable of doing 3X Optical zoom.
We expect @evleaks to reveal more images of the Galaxy Note8 in various colours and angles in the days or weeks to come.
UPDATE: @evleaks has just shared more images of the Galaxy Note8. We now get to see the rear and its S Pen.
